What if your creative block is trying to protect you?

Join our online workshop where you'll meet the Creative Monsters hijacking your creativity
June 25th, 7:00PM EST. Limited spots.

You feel like you have so much to express, yet somehow everytime you sit down to create, you feel frozen, paralyzed, like some invisible force is holding you back.

Sometimes it comes with very specific thoughts like: "why bother?", "who's gonna see this anyway?", "I'm not good enough", "how is this ever going to sell?", "my art sucks", "what's the point?" etc.

The result is you end up procrastinating, numbing away, creating something inauthentic, and ultimatley depriving the world from your creations.

What this is

Intimate online workshop

Learn about the 8 most common patterns and beliefs that block art and creativity:

-What they are

-What they whisper

-Where they come from

-Practical tools to overcome them.

Meet Your Monsters

Visualize and give shape to your own monsters, talk to them, set boundries and eventually befriend them.

Share and feel supported

Let yourself be seen and supported by an intimate group of likeminded creatives. Realizing you're not alone is perhaps the most healing part of the gathering.

Who is this for?

It's for artists looking to reconnect with their practice.

For people wanting to get unblocked creatively.

For creatives wanting to deepen their craft.

For people considering switching careers, or find themselves at a life crossroads.

For those who want to bring more creativity into what they do.

For those who have something to say and haven't been able to get it out….

Who am I?

My name is Cuau Velazquez, a filmmaker who was creatively frozen for more than a decade. I had always loved writing and telling stories but I was petrified when it came to sharing my ideas with the world. Then in 2023, I had a heart surgery that put things into perspective and gave me the push I needed to take a leap of faith and write, produce and shoot my first short film called Apparition.

That experinced helped confront my creative monsters and learn practical tools to overcome them, putting me on a path to research and develop my own workshops to help other creatives on this journey.

I've run successful workshops in Germany and Japan, and I'm now bringing the magic online to those who are ready to confront their monsters. Maybe that's you? :)

I came upon Cuau's "Creative Monster" session by chance, and I am so glad I did. It was yet another reminder of the power of community and co-creation. We were a small group of people who met for several sessions, and everyone was equally open to explore. Some were even surprised at themselves for how deep we went so quickly. A very big reason for that is Cuau's ability to facilitate. He invites presence, vulnerability, and non-judgment by embodying all of that himself. He can guide everyone through the exploration of these "monsters" because he knows what he is talking about. He created this from his own experience with them. The beauty of these sessions is the connection and recognition that comes out of them. Everyone is there because they relate to the creative block in some way, even if through different mediums and very different lives. Not only are the monsters helpful tools to navigate the block by naming it and facing it, but the group dynamic adds to the momentum of it all. Sharing and exploring together always (in my opinion) leads to inspiration. Thank you, Cuau, for creating this space!

Cuau, thank you so much for the yokai workshop! I felt my heart become considerably lighter because of that time. I had always been aware of my negative inner voices, but I realized I had been trying to eliminate them, wondering how to make them disappear, denying them. That realization alone was invaluable. The flow and facilitation of your workshop was wonderful!"
