A live online gathering · June 25

Overcome your creative block.

Meet the eight monsters quietly hijacking your work and learn to befriend them.

Wed June 25·7:00 PM EST·Live on Zoom·Only 10 seats
The thing nobody talks about

You sit down to create. Something freezes you.

You have so much to express. Yet every time you begin, an invisible force holds you back. It isn't laziness. It's a voice and it has a script.

"Why bother?""Who's even going to see this?""I'm not good enough.""How will this ever sell?""My art sucks.""What's the point?"

So you procrastinate. You numb out. You make something safe and hollow and the world goes without the thing only you could've made. It doesn't have to keep going like this.

A different way of seeing it

Those voices aren't your enemy. They're frightened guardians that never learned to let you grow.

Name them · Face them · Befriend them

Meet the eight you'll be working with.

Every block wears a familiar face. In the workshop we give each one a shape, a voice, and a way through.

What the gathering actually is

An intimate evening, in three movements.

1

Name them

Walk through the eight patterns that block art, what they whisper, and where they come from. You'll recognise yours immediately.

2

Face them

Visualise and give shape to your own monsters. Talk to them. Set limits. We'll work with practical tools you keep for life.

3

Befriend them

Share in a small circle of like-minded creatives. Realising you're not alone is, quietly, the most healing part of the night.

Cuau Velazquez
Your guide for the night

I was creatively frozen for over a decade.

I'm Cuau Velazquez, a filmmaker. I always loved writing and telling stories but I was petrified to share a single idea with the world.

In 2023, heart surgery put things into perspective. It gave me the push to write, produce and shoot my first short film, Apparition. Making it forced me to confront my own creative monsters and find the tools to move through them.

Since then I've run these workshops in Germany and Japan. Now I'm bringing them online to creatives ready to meet their monsters face to face.

The workshop

You already know something is in the way.

This is the work. Come do it with us.

One evening. A small circle. Eight monsters with names and shapes and, finally, a way through.

People leave lighter. Every time.

What happens when people meet their monsters

"

We were a small group, and everyone was equally open to explore — some surprised at themselves for how deep we went so quickly. Cuau invites presence and non-judgment by embodying all of it himself. The beauty is the connection and recognition that comes out of it: everyone there relates to the block in some way. Naming the monsters and facing them together led, again and again, to inspiration.

"

Thank you so much for the workshop. I felt my heart become considerably lighter. I'd always been aware of my negative inner voices, but I realized I'd been trying to eliminate them, wondering how to make them disappear, denying them. That realization alone was invaluable. The flow and facilitation were wonderful.
